DUKE OF EDINBURGH GOLD RESIDENTIALS

Walton Firs Activity Centre is now offering a residential programme in conjunction with the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award to satisfy the requirements of the residential section of the Gold Award. Most participants will be existing DofE Gold Award participants, but we’re happy to accept people not on the Award too!

Participants will complete a five-day, four-night residential trip away from home. As a result of the programme, they will develop their self-confidence, effective communication, team-work and resilience skills. Read on below for more details.

You can choose between two residential programmes:

  • Adventure: Boost confidence, develop teamwork skills and push your limits while taking part in a range of exciting activities!

  • Volunteering: Get involved in your choice of volunteering project as well as enjoying many adventurous activities!

Accommodation

You’ll be staying in one of our on-site residential accommodation buildings, planning and cooking your meals and managing your time. All meals are included as part of the residential package.
