CAMPING PODS
As well as our buildings we offer some fantastic camping pods. We have 3 villages located around the site, which can be booked as whole villages or individual pods.
Each Pod Village has 4 pods and can accommodate 30 people. 3 pods have 8 bunks and 1 leaders’ pod has 6 bunks and a desk.
The village includes:
Electrical sockets in each bunk for charging
Shoe boxes outside each pod to stop mud from going inside
Altar fire
Wooden shelter with lighting and 5 picnic benches
Concrete plinth for cooking
Metal storage bin to keep those pesky squirrels away
Villages are fenced off with a wooden fence to show your boundaries, with enough space to pitch extra tents and/or play games. Each village also has allocation parking space for 1 group vehicle.
Camp Takamaka
Located behind the Pembroke building, Camp Takamaka works great with the Pembroke as extra accommodation when booked alongside. The village is close to the car park, lower toilet block and woodpile, and is the closest village to the office and site activities.
Camp Ha-Ha
Camp Ha-Ha is located behind the Brunswick building and can add some extra beds to your trip if both are booked together. It is tucked away towards the lower end of the site so activities are a bit of a further walk, but the lower toilet block is still conveniently close by.
Trail’s End Camp
As its name suggests, Trail’s End is right at the bottom end of Walton Firs in a peaceful corner of the woods. This pod village pairs well with the Brunswick and Training Hut buildings, as you can take advantage of the large bottom field as a space for tents or campfires.
Single Pods
If you have a small group or need more bedrooms to supplement your building, why not hire a single pod?
You can use just one or two pods instead of the whole village, either a 6 person pod with a desk or an 8 person pod. The wooden shelters in each village are also available to hire for extra space.
