Rob Woolford
Rob Woolford grew up in Hersham, Surrey and enjoyed an active involvement with Scouting all through his younger days, camping at Walton Firs from the 1950s and subsequently in teenage years joining one of the Service Teams assisting in managing the organisation of the Activity Centre.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant and practised in Elmbridge until his retirement in 2006.
When Walton Firs was confirmed by the Scout Association as being made available for sale he initiated the group which came together with the intention of ensuring that the facility was retained available for the use and enjoyment of young people to enable future generations to enjoy the fun and outdoor learning experiences which he and many friends had also enjoyed over the years.
He has therefore been a director of Walton Firs Foundation from the beginning.
