The management organization of the Activity Centre at Walton Firs is coordinated through a Management Group, the Chairman of which is one of the Board of Directors.
The present Board Member acting as Chairman of the Management Group is David Gardner.
The objective of the Management Group is to help co-ordinate the day to day organization of the Activity Centre, with input and support from the users of the site.
Walton Firs Activity Centre was purchased from the Scout Association in June 2008 and the Scouting ethos in the organization of the site has continued to be a core part of the approach to the activities and educational courses organized through Walton Firs Activity Centre.
The full time Wardens, Dave and Sue McIntosh have remained in place at Walton Firs and together with the voluntary Service Team, and other paid employment during busy times of the year, continue to deal with the day to day organization of matters on site.
The Management Group continue to look for further involvement and help from other user groups in relation to the issues involved in organizing the facilities and activities at Walton Firs. New members are always welcome. Click here to view current members.
