Kingston & Malden Scout & Guide Band Concert June 2012
Young people from the Kingston & Malden Scout & Guide Band gave us 'Music for a Summer's Evening' and even managed to keep the rain clouds at bay.
Despite a week of poor weather the concert went ahead with support from Joe Blackgrove and his team on BBQ and Tim Monger-Godfrey (TMG) at the Bar. Neil Mayston from Team Magpie was overseer of the sound equipment and our friends Carol and Oliver Davies 'manned' the camp shop.
Walton Firs Service Team members donned the high viz jackets and helped in the car park while all of us in the audience threw down our rugs or sat on our chairs, and enjoyed our picnics.
We are still receiving donations from this event, but at present they total over £1,200 which is a real boost to our fundraising. Thank you to everyone who supported this event.
