Support Walton Firs

Walton Firs campsite in Surrey has been developed for young people for over 65 years. With 28 acres of camping ground and activities including archery, rifle shooting, climbing, abseiling and orienteering it really is an exceptional campsite, facilitating 25,000 camping nights per year.

PURCHASE OF WALTON FIRS

We are pleased to confirm that the purchase of Walton Firs was completed by the Foundation as planned on Friday 27th June.

Our fundraising over the last two years has been astounding and the level of support we have enjoyed from the community has been fantastic.

We needed to borrow a small amount of £36,000 in order to complete the purchase and the board of the Foundation were able to secure this on an interest-free basis.  We hope that this amount will be repaid over the next few months.
