WALTON FIRS Camping Competitions

I won my first Camping Competition at Walton Firs as a member of the Curlews of the 37th Kensington Scout Troop. A year later I won again as Patrol Leader. I can remember many happy weekends at Walton Firs. A midnight walk to the local lake for a swim and glow worms in the grassy banks along the roadside. Also the long crawl home along the A3 with traffic jams in Esher. That was over 50 year ago.
