Guide campI have just returned from a camp at Walton firs (29/5/07-2/6/07). I choose here because of it being under threat and I wanted to keep it going. Before my camp I had only been once before. My Guide unit had a fantastic time, with the muddy assult course being the best bit - who said guides were girly?) and I passed my camp qualification here. Anyway I had forgotten what a brilliant site it was and will be really upset if it were to go. I will definalty be booking more camps here as it has such fantastic facitilies and makes programming a week easy as there is so much to do onsite. All of the onsite staff are really friendly and helpful which as an adult is very good as I was the one getting lost not the guides!! I had a wonderful time and Walton Firs will always be special to me as it was where I gained my camp licence. Submitted by Sharren Bridges - Others experiences... |
