GSL 1st BartonsMy lasting memory of Walton Firs is waking up very early on the morning of 1st July 1978 and gazing at the morning mist floating up from the dew laden campsite. I was the only one up at the time and I remembered it was a special day. I was now 9 years old and on my first cub camp. I had only joined 1st Hersham Pack B a few weeks before and now I was about to get a real taste of the "adventure" that my friends had been talking about when they first introduced me to the idea of scouting.
