First patrol camp and camp organised as a leader

As the Curlew patrol Leader of 1st Sunbury-on Thames Scout Group (Sunbury and Shepperton District / Surrey County)I held my first camp for my patrol as a Scout at Walton Firs 1969.

On reaching the dizzy heights of being a Leader the first camp I organised for the Troop was also at Walton Firs. I still recall the coach driver cursing the tree on his paint work as we arrived.

We had many great times at walton Firs..

So much fun I am still in scouting though now a GSL at 1st Wellington (in Somerset)
